Travelling-Bridge filtration

The conventional sand filters used for treating wastewater are inactive during the washing process and, therefore, lose filtering capacity. DRACE medioambiente has developed a filtering system that remains operative while it is being washed because it is compartimentalized. The washing system has a bridge that automatically moves from one cell to the next making for easy maintenance. This filtering process has very little load loss and has been successfully installed in the Viveros (Madrid), Palma de Mallorca and Pobla de Farnals plants.
