The latest technologies in wastewater treatment have been incorporated into the NIPHO process. When the ultrafiltration process with membranes is added to a NIPHO reactor, less space is necessary because the secondary decantation process is eliminated, the treated water obtained can be reused and nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorous) are removed by biological means.
